Jonathan North was born in Fairfield Co. Ohio the son of William and Susannah (Dilsaver) North. He married Sarah Crissinger on 3-23-1853 in Pickaway Ohio. In the mid 1850's he came to North Grove Indiana and lived his life there raising 8 children. He departed this life on March 27, 1907 and was buried on the 29th of March the date of his birth.
