Funeral services for Deacon William "WG" Griffin, Jr. will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Macedonia Baptist Church, Ridgeway with burial in the church's cemetery. Viewing will be held today beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Leevy's Funeral Home, Taylor Street Chapel.
Born in Fairfield County, Mr. Griffin served in the United States Army, was a self-employed carpenter, and was Chairman Emeritus of the Deacon Board at Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a member of Purity Lodge #42 of the Free and Accepted Masons.
Surviving are his loving wife, Dorothy Mitchell Griffin; daughters, Ida Belton, Karen Griffin, Sharon Myers, Rev. Angela Williams; sons, James Griffin and D'Encencio Griffin; and adopted daughter, Virginia Able; sisters, Nettie Benson and Hannah Crump; brothers, Rev.
