MARSHALL: Ude O. Mace, 85, of 116 Carver Road passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at Missions Hospital (Memorial Campus). He was a lifelong resident of Madison County and the son of the late Will and Tilda Ingle Mace. He was a retired farmer and a member of Redeemed Baptist Church.
Ude is survived by his wife, Glenna Carver Mace, daughters; Kathy King and husband Mike of Weaverville and Jennifer Mace of Burnsville, sister, Flossie Carver of Weaverville, brother, Floyd Mace of Marshall, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Redeemed Baptist Church. Revs Kenneth Parker and Phillips Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in Upper Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery. Blue Ridge Funeral Service, Mars Hill is assisting the family.
