He graduated from Guadalajara, Mexico High School in 1981, and graduated from the University of Guadalajara with a degree in Sociology. He married Heyka Nielson in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on October 5, 1997. He was deeply devoted to his wife Heyka, his daughter Gabriela Isabel, and his sons Jose Martin & Jesus Agustin. Isabel was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Broken Arrow. He was co-owner of the Arizona Restaurants in Broken Arrow, Owasso and Tulsa. He opened his first restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia. He was also a rancher who enjoyed cars and raising cattle. Isabel died on Sunday, September 26, 2004 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 41 years of age.
