Mrs. Esther Peters, the oldest resident of Lehighton, died at the home of her son Wilson A.Peters, Saturday morning.
Deceased was born in Lehigh county March 6, 1816, her age being 90 years, 1 month and 29 days. She enjoyed remarkably good health until a few months ago when she took to her bed. She was a regular attendant at Zion's Reformed Sunday School. She lived to see five generations and was well known and highly respected. Besides her son Wilson A., with whom she made her home for many years, she is survived by another son Wallace I., of Bethlehem, and Mrs.Weiss, of Weissport. Her funeral was held on Tuesday morning with services at the house, conducted by her pastor Rev. D. A. Winter. Interment was made in the Lehighton cemetery.
