NORMAN, SUSIE B, of Powell passed away Dec 13, 2007 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was a loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Preceded in death by parents; Ruby and Everett Byrge; brothers, Glenn and Ernest Byrge; father in law, Bill Norman. Survivors: husband; Jerry Norman; daughters, Autumn Norman and Amy Norman; son and daughter in law, Ted and Rebecca Norman, all of Powell; sisters and brothers in law, Maria and Wilson Blankenship, Sherry and Ben Tipton; and sister Clara Hammer, all of Knoxville; brother and sister in law, Jay and Sharon Byrge of Knoxville; brothers, Thomas Byrge of Lake City and Charles Byrge of East Prairie, MO; sisters in law, Alice Byrge of Nashville and Judy Byrge of Chicago, IL; mother in law, Evalee Norman; sister in law and husband, Martha Branam and Carl; brothers in law, W A Norman and wife, Vesta and Tony Norman and wife, Doris, all of Powell; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. She will be remembered for her wonderful personality, positive attitude, good humor, fun loving and passion for life. Susie was a compassionate nurse and retired from Dr Paul Serrell's office. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr Paul Serrell, Dr Purkey, Dr Schriver, Dr Scott, Dr Hanna, and the Oncology Nursing Staff, Dr Greene and the Radiology Nursing Staff at UT Hospital, and UT Hospice. Pallbearers will be nephews. Service is at 2 PM Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Chapel in Fountain City with Rev Richard Nicely officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Emory Valley Baptist Church 6124 E Emory Rd. Knoxville, TN 37938.
