Worcester - Mrs. Sophia (Wenglarski) Matyczynski, 78, of 3 Clapp Street, died Sunday in City Hospital after a short illness.

She was born in Poland, a daughter of the late Jan and Tekla (Janeczko) Wenglarski and came here in 1912. She leaves her husband, Stanislaus Matyczynski, three sons, Walter J. Matyczynski of Lansing, Mich., Theodore Matyczynski of Lowell and John F. Matyczynski of Worcester; three daughters, Regina J., wife of Edward J. Misiuk, Florence M., wife of Thomas J. Sheehan and Helen B., wife of Richard LaPointe, all of Worcester; a brother and two sisters in Poland and 10 grandchildren.

The funeral will be held tomorrow from Henry Funeral Home 33 Ward Street, with a Mass celebrated at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
