Hannie Long first married James Edward "Ed" Blair on Jan. 28, 1890. He died in 1899. She later married Ed's half brother John D. Blair about 1900. She and John had three Daughters, Mary Knowlton Blair, George Long Blair, and Sallie Brown Blair.

Church Rites for Mrs. Blair, 96, Held on Friday Mrs. Hannie Long Blair, 96, widow of John Davis Blair, died Wednesday, December 13, (1967) in a Newberry Nursing home. She was born in Fairfield County, daughter of the late James Isaac (Ivey) and Mary Brown Long, and was the oldest member of Rock Creek Baptist Church. She served on the Fairfield County Registration Board for many years. Her husband died in 1928. Surviving are two sons, W. S. Blair of Blair, and J. D. Blair of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. H. H. McLaughlin of Cayce, Mrs. C. I. Parker of Blair, and Mrs. Henry Lominack, Newberry. A number of children and great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted on Friday (Dec. 15, 1967) from Rock Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Lewis Russell and the Rev. Mr. Douglas. Interment was in Salem Presbyterian Church cemetery. Active pallbearers were William Scott Blair, Otis Blair, Marion Frazier, William Que Claytor, Danny Paysinger, and William Wilson.
