Friedrich was a German soldier,engaged to a Dutch girl named Charlotte "Louki" Hondelink. He had been hiding in her home in Loosdrecht. Friedrich was found guilty of desertion by a court martial and sentenced to death, after having been betrayed and arrested by the Feldgendarmerie under the command of Friedrich Wilhelm Beise.
Friedrich Liesegang was executed by German forces at Scharwoude.
Buried 06/11/1944 Nieuwe Oosterbegraafplaats Amsterdam, plot 84/63.
Reburied 17/03/1948 Ysselsteyn.
