My Ham Radio Friend Hannes WESTHOFF was born November 20th.1923 in GERMANY.

After the War He obtained for a Ham Radio License and became the Official Ham Callsign DJ3VU.

He was Member#236 of The"MF RUNDE",a German Society of Hamming, former Navy Wireless Operators.

Hannes died April 16th.-2002 in His Hometown SIGMARINGEN in GERMANY.

He is buried in His Hometown on the "HEDINGER" Cemetery.

Now Hannes is a so called" Silent Key",thats what Ham's say when one of them dies.

Hannes had many Ham Friends all over the World.

He was a great Guy and a fantastic Shipmate.

I had the Honor to meet Hannes on several Annual MF Meetings in Germany and very often "On the Air".
