Dorothy Gosnell Foster
Dorothy Gosnell Foster, 81, of Goode, died Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at her residence. She was the widow of Woodrow Riley Foster after 40 years of marriage.
Born in Asheville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Roy Lee Gosnell and the late Jessie Freshour Gosnell. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Dick Gosnell.
Dorothy was an active member of Heritage Baptist Church and her family was the love of her life.
She is survived by two daughters, Gail F. Hagerty and her husband, Chuck, of Goode, and Vickie F. Kimbrough and her husband, Wynne, of Niagara, Wis.; five brothers and sisters, Jim Gosnell and his wife, Faye, and Betty G. Exum and her husband, Earl, all of Flint, Mich., Steve "Vaughn" Gosnell and his wife, Gail, of Winterpark, Fla., Peggy G. Peek and her husband, Jack, of Columbia, S.C., and Roy Gosnell and his wife, Betty, of Greer, S.C.; a sister-in-law, Jean Gosnell, of Fruitland, Fla.; seven wonderful grandchildren; and two marvelous great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Randy Miller. Another funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at Brown Funeral Home in Flint, Mich. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Flint, Mich.
The family will receive friends for one hour after the service on Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
