BROWN GRIFFITH Dies
EMSLEY BROWN GRIFFITH, 34, died in the Wheeler Hospital at Tyler, Texas, last Sunday, result of injuries received while working in the oil field near there. Funeral services were held at the Nocona Methodist Church on Monday, Dec. 18, conducted by Rev. C. W. THOMAS of the church. Interment was in Oak Hill cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. FRANK GRIFFITH, Mr. and Mrs. NEIL GRIFFITH, Mr. and Mrs. OTIS MILLS and Mrs. ROY COLE were at his bedside when he passed away. He was born in Montague County. Age of 17, he joined the Baptist Church at Fort Cobb, Okla. He was a member of the Masonic lodge there. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. GRIFFITH of Fletcher, Okla., a daughter MYRA NELL GRIFFITH of Oklahoma City; three brothers, FRANK and NEIL GRIFFITH of Nocona, WELDON GRIFFITH of Fletcher, Okla.; nine sisters, Mrs. ROY COLE and Mrs. DEWEY SEWELL of Nocona, Mrs. HOMER MILLS and Mrs. STEWART ROSS of Burkburnett, Mrs. OTIS MILLS of Wilson, Okla., Mrs. CLYDE TRIPP and Mrs. DEWEY SCROGGINS of Stecker(?), Okla., Mrs. RALPH MATLOCK of Cement, Okla, and Miss MELBA GRIFFITH of Fletcher, Okla. Pallbearers were W. A. SEWELL, JIM BOURLAND, CLAUD WALLACE, Mr. COOK, ABNER WALL and DEE INLOW
