Fletcher (Special) -- Rites for Mrs. Alice Griffith, 83, who died [on] Sunday [26 Jun 1970], will be at 11 am today [28 Jun 1960] at the Nocona, Tex[as] Methodist Church. [Note: The Texas 1960 Death Index, page 493, line 17, specifies Texas death certificate #37752 for Annie Alice Griffith; the death certificate itself, recorded July 5, 1960 with the Texas Bureau of Vital Statistics, indicates death in Nocona, Montague County, Texas on 27 Jun 1960.]

Mrs. Griffith was born [on] Dec[ember] 19, 1876 in Montague County, Tex[as], and is a former Fletcher[, Oklahoma] resident. She left here in 1941. Her husband, J[ames] J[ackson] Griffith died in 1940.

In charge of local arrangements is Dalton Funeral Home [of] Fletcher[, Oklahoma], [where] burial will be in the Fletcher Cemetery. [Preparatory care was performed by Scott Brothers Funeral Home of Nocona, Texas according to Texas Death Certificate #37752, which was recorded on July 5, 1960 with the Texas Bureau of Vital Statistics.]

Surviving are two daughters: Mrs. Dewey Scoggins [of] Lawton[, Oklahoma] and Mrs. Homer Mills [of] Temple[, Oklahoma].
