Mr. Brown was born in Ridge Spring, SC to the late Olive Hawkins Brown and Shirley H. Brown. He was a member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Music Director, Assistant Music Director, Discipleship Training Director, RA Leader, member of Brotherhood and Men's Prayer Breakfast. He retired from Carolina Eastman.
Surviving are his wife, Clara Mae Brown; sons and daughters-in-law, James (Gail) Brown; Terry (Lisa) Brown both of Batesburg; daughter and son-in-law, Lutisusha "Tish" (Joe) Singletary of Scranton; five grandchildren, Andy (Susan) Rodgers of Scranton; Jamie (Kelly) Brown of Gilbert; Jennifer (Jamie) Watkins of Batesburg; Leigh (Joseph) Holmes of Conway; Erin (Mike) McCormick of Batesburg; eleven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 Monday, Jan 24, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home of Batesburg, other times at his home. Memorials can be made to Mt.
