Henry was the 14-month-old son of Theodore & Margaret L. Sandford, who buried 3 other infants between the years 1851 and 1859. The sandstone monument which marks the 4 little graves resembles a lectern with an open Bible adorning its top. Beneath the circular bas-relief with delicately carved roses is the inscription: "IN MEMORY of Our Babes". PHOTO: Nikita Barlow
