Ivy Whiting Waters Wills, 85, beloved mother and grandmother, died peacefully Feb. 5, 2008.

She was born in St. Johns May 25, 1922, to Lola Gladys Waite and Lynn S. Whiting.

She attended beauty school in Salt Lake City after high school. She married Warren Wendell Waters in 1939 in the Salt Lake City Temple and they made their home in St. Johns.

Ivy was a marvelous homemaker the remainder of her life. She was well known for her cooking and baking, and she put this ability to good use during the many years she worked at the school cafeteria. Almost everyone that went to school in St. Johns still remembers the smell of those good dinner rolls. She loved to make her delicious fudge and divinity. She loved to work in her beautiful yard and garden and to make things grow, but her family was her greatest joy.

Ivy was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She would tell how she took her children and visited all the temples in the United States at the time when there were only six. Ivy will be greatly missed by all.

Ivy is survived by her two children, Kenneth (Ella Louise) Wills, and Louise (Terry) Maher; 10 grandchildren, Warren Lynn (Emily) Waters, Virginia Lynn Waters, Terry Maher Jr., LynnDee Maher, J.T. Maher, Amanda Allyen Maher, Wendiayn Allyson Maher, Marian (Michael) Shaw, Howard Kenneth (Katie) Wills and Frand Wills; two great-grandchildren; and sister Kay Ennis (Wendell) Martineau.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Warren Waters, on Feb. 13, 1951, and Howard E. Wills, July 13, 1996; three children, Harvey Dee in 1948, Kay Allyen in 1972, and Wendell Lynn Waters in 2003; her parents and eight siblings, Lola (Joy) Ashcroft, Harvey Lynn, Edwin Max, Ralph, Althedia, Rex Dee (Marjorie) Marion Wayne, (Billie) and Marlynn, (Gene) Phipps.
