RODANTHE - Mrs. Arretta Midgett Midgett, 99, died Dec. 26, at her residence. She was a native of Rodanthe, homemaker and was a member of The Fairhaven United Methodist Church, the Methodist Women, and the Hatteras Island Chapter #303 of the Eastern Star.
She was the daughter of Richard T. and Rebecca Midgett and the widow of Rowan Hooper Midgett.
Surviving are: one daughter, Dorcas Midgett of Rodanthe [see 14462100]; one son, Richard W. Midgett of Rodanthe; 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Fairhaven United Methodist Church in Rodanthe on Thursday, Dec. 28, at 2 p.m. by the Rev. Leon Fowler. Rites will be administered by the Hatteras Island Chapter of the Eastern Star. Burial will follow in the Midgett Family Cemetery in Rodanthe. Twiford's Colony Chapel, Manteo is in charge of arrangements.
