Funeral Services Here Thursday For Mrs. Alvin Mulder Who Dies Monday
Funeral services will be held at Bethel Christian Reformed church here at l:30-p.m. Thursday, March 5, for Mrs. Alvin Mulder. 57, who died at an Iowa City hospital March 2 following 2½ weeks confinement there with a heart ailment.
Services will be conducted by the Rev. Louis Tamminga and burial will be made in Pleasant Hill cemetery in Ireton, where a son is buried, under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral home of Sioux Center.
Mrs. Mulder had spent several months in the University Hospital at Iowa City last fall due to her heart condition, but had been at home since December until readmitted to the hospital in mid-February.
Mrs. Mulder, the former Rose De Jong, was born at Ireton March 8, 1912. She was married to Alvin Mulder on February 10, 1933, at Ireton.
Survivors include the widower; five sons, Alfred of Gallup, New Mex., Harold of Dearborn, Mich., Ivan of Alameda, Calif. , Marvin in Vietnam, Leon at home; four daughters, Mrs. Stan Altena of Sioux Center, Mrs. Curtis Roelofs of Grand Rapids, Mich., Miss Alma and Miss Donna at home; four brothers, Ted De Jong of Ireton, Bernard of Artesia, Calif., Henry of Maurice, Alfred of Ireton; three sisters, Mrs. Art De Boer of Orange City, Mrs. Clarence Mulder of Ireton, Mrs. Harold Bolkema of Grand Rapids, Mich.; 15 grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Fred De Jong of Ireton.
