Reed Sherwood 93, of Provo, Utah passed away on November 18, 2010 in Orem, Utah.

He was born on June 9, 1917 in Levan, Utah, to James Thomas and Mary Ann Jensen Sherwood. Reed was raised in Levan and served in the Air Force during World War II.

He married Betty Jean Pay on June 25, 1947 in Provo, Utah. They were later sealed for time and all eternity on September 9, 1964 in the Salt Lake Temple. They spent 57 years together and raised a son and daughter.

He owned and operated Reed's Radiator Repair for many years. Reed was known as a great storyteller, fisherman, and hunter. He liked to make things with his hands and a few tools -a grasshopper out of a railroad tie and a clothes hanger, a folding camping trailer and a dune buggy were some of the favorites. He loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sweet wife, Betty; his parents; twin brother, Reese Sherwood; four other brothers: LeRoy Sherwood, Elden Sherwood, Ruben Sherwood and Rulon Sherwood; and three sisters: Ruby Fillmore, Effie Barnes and Iona Sherwood.

A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Walker Sanderson Tribute Center, 85 East 300 South, Provo, Utah. Family and friends may call on Wednesday morning at the Funeral home from 9:45-10:45 prior to the services.
