MARENGO Joseph W. Meriwether, 67, of 714 Mosier Ave., died at 2:11 p.m. Monday at Floyd County Memorial Hospital.
He was a retired carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, the former Edith Bowman; three daughters, Mrs. Sharon Traughber of Laconia, Mrs. Judy Bezy of Palmyra and Miss Cathy Meriwether of New Albany; three sons, Tony and Larry Meriwether, both of New Albany, and Gary Meriwether of Clarksville; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Beulah Pittman of New Albany; nine grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dillman-Green Funeral Home, with burial in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation at the funeral home will be after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
