MARSHALL – Rellie Fender Peek, 90, of Marshall passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010.
Mrs. Peek was born March 17, 1920 in Madison County where she had lived all of her life. She was a member of Foster Creek Baptist Church. Rellie was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Cora Fagan Fender and husband, Ernest Dewey Peek, six sisters and six brothers.
Surviving are her daughters, Irene Clement of Greensboro, Lora Honeycutt (Grady) of Mars Hill, Pat Wallin (Randy) and Marie Cody (Dedrick) all of Marshall; sons, Clyde Gardner (Diane) of Louin, Miss., Donald Gardner (Edna) of Marion, Gordon Peek (Susan) of Marshall; step-son, Hal Vardon Peek (Ruby) of Black Mountain; sister, Louise Roberts of Marshall; twenty grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday in Foster Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken Parker and son, Gordon Peek officiating. Interment will follow in Laurelton Chapel Cemetery.
