She was born Sept. 26, 1913, in Union Township, Mercer County, to William F. and Osie Hughes Swygart, who preceded her in death. On July 12, 1947, she married Charles S. Wilkin, who died Nov. 3, 1970.
Mrs. Wilkin retired from the dietary department of Van Wert Manor Nursing Home, Van Wert. She was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church, where she had been a Sunday school and Bible school teacher. She was a 1931 graduate of Mendon-Union High School.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Alice Wilkin, of Lima; a son, Charles W. (Susan) Wilkin, of Delphos; two grandchildren, Kendra (Brad) Klausing, of Springboro, and Christopher S. Wilkin, of Columbus; a great-granddaughter, Hallee Lynn Klausing; several nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law.
She was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Aubrey Lynn Klausing; two brothers, Edwin A. and Emery Swygart; and a sister, Edith Nolan.
Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Cowan & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Chuck Glover will officiate. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery, Union Township, Mercer County.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
