"OBITUARIES

MINERVA PURKEY BARNARD was born Nov. 17, 1865; departed this life January 9, 1947. She professed faith in Christ about the age of eighteen and joined the Swan Creek Church and later moved her membership to Ida's Chapel Church, where she remained a faithful member until death.

She was married to S. W. Barnard and to this union six children were born, three of the children and her husband preceded her in death. She leaves two daughters and one son and thirty-eight grand-children and 83 great-grandchildren and three great, great grand-children and a host of friends to mourn her loss, but our loss is her eternal gain. She has gone to meet husband the the other members of our family and all the redeemed of Christ. Sleep on Dear Mother, until we meet again in heaven.
