Violet Hudnall Miller, 95, of Nitro passed away June 3, 2003, in Belle's Personal Care Home after a long illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Bessie Miller; husbands, Lester Hudnall and William "Bill" Miller; brothers, Harold, Joe, Thomas and Edward Miller; son-in-law, Bill Priddy; grandson, Kirk Casto; and stepsons, Joe and Richard Miller. Mrs. Miller had been a resident of Nitro since 1933 and was a member of Nitro Church of Christ. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Ann Hudnall Priddy, Evelyn Hudnall Casto and husband, Corky, and Lester Hudnall Jr. and wife, Doris, all of Nitro; stepchildren, Dolores Miller Duff and husband, Parvin, of Ocala, Fla., Helen Miller Hawes and husband, Bill, of Nitro; three sisters, Thelma Postlethwaite and Marian Garton, both of Nitro, Sue Randolph and husband, Kenneth, of Point Pleasant; one brother, Vernon Miller and wife, Jerry, of Nashville, Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Rusty Casto, Bill Casto and wife, Becky, Todd Hudnall, Lisa Hudnall, Kin Priddy and wife, Jan, Dr. Jeff Priddy and Lynn Priddy; two great-grandchildren, Katie Priddy and Clark Priddy; six stepgrandchildren; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, June 6, at Nitro Church of Christ with Ministers Marvin Greene and Mark Tabata officiating. Burial will follow in Schowen Cemetery, Bancroft. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gatens Funeral Home, Poca.
