Mrs. Betty Patterson, age 103 years, and one of the oldest women in Rockingham county, N.C., passed away at her home near Leaksville Friday, following a lingering illness. Death was due to infirmities of old age.
Burial: Hickory Grove Church
The deceased was born near Pelham, N.C., but had spent a greater part of her life near Leaksville, N.C.
She lived through three great Wars.
In November she united with the First Christian Church at Spray, N.C. and because of her feebleness, was immersed while sitting in a chair.
