Joe began his aerospace career in early 1960s with The Martin Co. on the Titan I Program. After the Titans were "turnkeyed" to Airforce he wound up at Vandenberg Air Force Base supporting Titan I & II follow-on flight testing. This eventually phased into Titan III and Titan IV space launches.
Joe rose through various levels of management until he bacame Director of Titan IV Engineering. Joe loved to gather the Group Leads in his office after the days activities concluded and get a briefing; a true sign of a great Systems Engineer. Joe retired in Dec 1995.
Joe`s parents were Talmadge JACKSON (1903-1979) and Lucille Melvia GOODPASTURE JACKSON (1907-1991) Joe`s surviving spouse is Dorothy JACKSON of Santa Barbara County, CA.
