Samuel Morin, 75, of Amarillo died Friday, Oct. 1, 2010.

Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.

Mr. Morin was born Feb. 11, 1935, in Amarillo to Isabella and Valente Morin. He entered the U.S. Navy at the end of the Korean War and served more than 21 years, including two tours in Vietnam. He retired at Pantex after working 15 years as a machinist.

He married Vicentia Mirabal on May 13, 1989, in Amarillo.

The family would like to give a very special thank you to Val and Shelly Morin.

He is survived by his wife, Vicentia "Bessie" Morin; a stepson, Agustin Sanchez of Amarillo; a stepdaughter, Amy Sanchez Flores of Amarillo; a sister, Alicia Giannatti of Reno, Nev.; and four grandchildren, Isaiah Flores, Roman Sanchez, Nina Flores and Esperanza Sanchez.
