Mary Lida Hughes departed for Heaven on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was 64 years old. Mary was born on May 17, 1946 in Okmulgee County to Harold Arnold and Frances Elizabeth (Kelly) Frazier. She attended Eram Grade School and graduated from Liberty High School before attending Northeastern College in Tahlequah. On October 1, 1983 she married Edward Lee Hughes, Jr. Mary worked as an administrative assistant for the Thompson Pump Company and then for the City of Okmulgee until retiring in May of 2010. She enjoyed sewing, her flower gardens, watching hummingbirds and her grandkids. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, one brother Wilbert Lee Frazier and husband the late Jewell Calvin Fite. She is survived by daughter Lisa Harless of Amarillo, Texas, son Chris Hughes of Owasso, daughter Rhonda Williams of Amarillo, daughter Janice Kelley of Morris, son Jeff Hughes of Ft. Worth, Texas, son Greg Hughes of Tulsa, son Scott Fite of Weatherford, Oklahoma, daughter Machell Meadows of Morris, daughter Mary Gregory of Morris, son Keith Hughes of Krum, Texas, three brothers; Harold Frazier and wife Bev of Rantoul, Illinoise, Gary Frazier and wife Shirley of Okmulgee, and David Frazier of Okmulgee, and many many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services will be held at the Liberty Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 22, 2010, at 10:00 A.M. with Pastor Jeff Ward officiating. Interment will follow at the Liberty Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Rojer Johnson, Dallas Johnson, Tyler Hughes, Derek Hughes, Logan Abbott, Zach Hughes and Nicholas Hughes. Honorary casket bearers are Brock Hughes, Karson Hughes, Delton Hughes, Jake Williams, Dane Branscum, Tristan Fite, Bryce Gregory, and Seth Meadows. Friends may visit the Morris Funeral Home on Tuesday from 1:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
