He started working at Ball Brothers in 1973 and stayed until it shut down. Gary made his last glass bottle and retired from Anchor Glass in May 2019.
In his younger years Gary would quail hunt, play volleyball, and softball. He made many lifelong friends on the softball field. Gary eventually found his love for the golf course which was undeniably his favorite.
At home Gary enjoyed gardening, working in the garage, and finding things to do with his tractor. Anything that needed to be done could be done with his tractor.
Gary was an active member of First Baptist Church, Morris where he enjoyed cooking for the youth at Falls Creek or cooking on Wednesday night. He always had a place in his heart for the children of the church and was affectionately known as the Candy Man. Mr. Frazier always had a Starburst.
Gary’s most favorite thing in life was his kids and grandkids. More than anything he loved watching them grow, play sports, march in the band, go fishing with them, and support them in anyway he possibly could. He was the best dad and papa a child could’ve asked for.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, sister Mary Hughes, and brother Wilbert Frazier. He leaves behind his wife, Shirley Frazier, of the home, son Harold Frazier and wife Ami Greene Frazier of Okmulgee, daughter Charly Criner of Morris, grandsons Nate Frazier, Caleb Criner, and Colton Criner, brother Harold Frazier and wife Beverly Frazier of Illinois, brother David Frazier of Okmulgee, special “sisters” Louise Ballenger and Earlene Thompson and many nieces, nephews, and other family.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church Morris on February 19, 2021 at 10AM, with Pastor Ray Moffeit and Rev. Dave Kelley. Pallbearers are Bob Lee, Jimmie Lee, Ed Yock, Hal Counts, Randy Ray, Jeff Gehring, and Rick Sawyer. In lieu of flowers the family requests that money be donated to the youth program at First Baptist Church Morris.
