In February 1866, the Mayor of Bützow submitted a petition from Joachim August Ludwig Drühl for permission to emigrate from Bützow along with his wife and two children, Charlotte and Louis (George Philipp). Mr. Drühl was visiting a daughter and son-in-law at that time in Rehna. Permission to emigrate was granted and the family left in April 1866.
Louis Druehl arrived in New York in April 1866, according to his Declaration of Intent, and settled in Wisconsin, where he is found with wife Charlotte in 1870 (daughter Charlotte is living with the Junker family in Chicago).
