HIGH POINT Mrs. Mildred Moore Huff , 87, of 113-A North Gate Court, died Tuesday, June 5, 2001, at her residence.
The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2001, at Lebanon United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Roland Jones. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
She was born Dec. 14, 1913, in Iredell County, the daughter of Thomas and Annie Weisner Moore. She had retired from J.C. Penney Co. She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church, the Morning Circle of the United Methodist Women and the Friendship Sunday school class. On Oct. 12, 1935, she married Joseph Thurman Huff , who preceded her in death on Oct. 20, 1971. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Anne Robertson.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Linda Huff of Oak Island; son, Joseph Dixon Huff and wife, Shelby of Greensboro; two sisters, Olivia Davidson and Peggy Harrington, both of Gastonia; four brothers, Kenneth Moore of Sutter, Calif., Lewis Moore of Rowland, Robert Moore of Harmony, Harry Moore of Mooresville; four grandchildren, Dianne Neal, Robin Schram, Randy Huff and Bob Robertson; seven great-grandchildren, Melissa Huff , Christie Huff , Michael Huff , Daniel Huff , Heather Neal, Eli Schram and Cevannah Schram; two step-grandchildren, Terri Craft and Cheri Varner; and three step-great-grandchildren, Emily Craft, Brantley Craft and Taylor Nicholas.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point.
