Services for Mrs. Gunder Haakenson, 93, will be at 2 p.m., Tuesday in West Freeborn Lutheran church. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Haakenson died Friday in Cornick Nursing Home where she had been a resident. Her death was attributed to complications of advanced age. She had only been ill for two days.
Born in Norway, October 4, 1868, she was a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Elmbert Hartz.She came to the states at the age of 18 months. They located in Freeborn County. She had been a resident here for 64 years. She was a member of West Freeborn Lutheran Church.
At Manchester she was married to Gunder Haakenson on Oct. 31,1886. He died in 1941.
Two sons, three daughters, six sisters, and four brothers, also preceded her in death.
Survivors are three daughters , Mrs. Herman (Luella) Hanson of Manchester, Mrs.Oscar Oscar (HIlda) Hallum and Mrs.John (Valborg) Ladlie, both of Albert Lea.
