Georgia Long Graham, age 78, wife of the late Pern Ibra Graham, of Hendrick's Shortcut Road, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her home after an extended illness.
Mrs. Graham was born in Conway, S.C., a daughter of the late William Mack and Sallie Clayton Long. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church and was retired from Conway Hospital Admissions office. She was predeceased by five brothers, Ben, Ned, Woodrow, Charles and Kingston; and two sisters, Edith L. Jordan and Lorraine L. Durant.
Surviving are three children, Sandra Graham of Conway, Ron I. Graham and wife, Pam, of Galivants Ferry, Karen G. Nobles and husband, Mike, of Conway; three grandchildren, Aaron and Beth Anna Graham of Galivants Ferry and Lauren Dunivan of Odessa, Texas; two sisters, Cecile Bell and Virginia Booth; one brother, Clayton" Sonny" Long and wife, Minnie Bell, of Conway; and numerous "special" nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Graham was gentle, soft spoken, patient and kind with many close and special friends. She will be loved and remembered by all who knew her.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. A. D. Grainger.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, August 9, 2010 at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made to Mercy Hospice, 174 Waccamaw Medical Park Drive, Conway, SC 29526-8965.
