Mary Z. Cordelia Throgmartin, daughter of Seb and Zilpha Hutsell, was born Dec. 9, 1877, near Huggins and died May 21, 1962 at her home near Upton, making her age at death 84 years, 5 months, and 12 days.
On Dec. 11, 1895 she was united in marriage to Lee Throgmartin. To this union four children were born. Mr. Throgmartin preceded her in death January 24, 1954.
Mrs. Throgmartin was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors are Mrs. Lola Baker, Ivis and Cecil Throgmartin and Mrs. Allie Ackman, all of Bucyrus; one half-brother Foster Hutsell of Mt. Grove; three half-sisters, Mrs. Bertha Trell, Mrs. Vianna Blard and Mrs. Emma Cantrell, all of Mt. Grove; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Throgmartin were Friday afternoon, May 25th at Hickory Ridge Church with the Rev. Payton Smyers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Elliott-Duff Funeral Home.
