Funeral services for Bobbye "Bob" Paine, 83, of Tyler are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at Green Acres Baptist Church Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Darryle Dunks and the Rev. J.D. Nuntz officiating. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery and under the direction of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home.
Bob passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010, in Tyler. He was born Sept. 9, 1926, in Frankston to the late Walker Lee and Dora Riddle Paine. Mr. Paine played football and graduated from Tyler High and Tyler Junior College. Bob served his country while in the Air Force. Bob move back to Tyler in 1955 where he established his own successful business, "Bob Paine Tools." Mr. Paine was a Master Mason for 50 years for St. John Chapter No. 49 and an active member of Green Acres Baptist Church and Fellowship Sunday School Class for 30 years. He is preceded in death by his son, Walker Paine, four brothers and one sister.
Mr. Paine is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Melba Paine of Tyler; son, John Russell Sr. and wife Margaret Paine of Dallas; daughter-in-law, DeBe Paine of Richardson; grandchildren, John Russell Paine Jr., Joshua Paine, Amanda Wilson, Hillary Paine, Jarin Paine and Jorja Sparks; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Fern Golden of Tyler; numerous nieces, neph-ews and other relatives; and many close friends. Pallbearers will be grandsons, John, Joshua and Jarin Paine, and grandsons-in-law, Brandon Sparks and Eric Wilson. The honorary pallbearers will be the Fellowship Sunday School Class of Green Acres Baptist Church.
