Mrs. Sarah Jervis, wife of J.B. Jervis, departed this life September 21, 1914. She died at her son's, W.E. Jervis, at Forks of Ivy. She was a few days over 77 years old. She was a devoted Christian and went to sleep on earth in the arms of Jesus and woke up on the other shore in the presence of Jesus.
She was born on Gabriel's Creek. She was the mother of four children, W.E., W.R., Mrs. Alice and Etta Morgan.
