I started looking for my family after stumbling on this site. I was so EXCITED to find MY GGGGG Grands, and the cemeteries have done a great job of preservation. I love photography and wandering through old cemeteries, some of the monuments are awe inspiring. I was also struck and saddened by the crumbling faded stones, especially the ones I remembered playing among during my childhood. It is so sad that someone will look for a relative and not be able to see the stone any longer. Therefor I feel that we all have an obligation to photograph and try to save these memories.
Please note that it is not allowed to request a transfer and then, after receiving the transfer, delete that page and substitute it with a new memorial that you have created.
"Chalking" memorials is prohibited!


Get out and photograph memorials while they are still readable, preserve those memories that are quickly fading.
