Nance-Foottit, b. 1 Sept 1875 Atchison, Atchison County, Kansas and d. 27 March 1937 Atchison, Atchison County, Kansas, Charles Albert Nance (1876-1960) and Daisy Edith Nance-Dolan (1879-1946). Welcome Nance served in the Civil War. He enlisted 21 Aug 1862. He was a Private, Company D, Kansas 13th Infantry Regiment on 19 Sep 1862. Mustered out on 06 Jun 1865 at Little Rock, AR. His grave maker is inscribed CO. D (Company D) 13 KANS. INF (13th Kansas Infantry). Him and his wife are both buried at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Atchison, Kansas.
