"Edgar Adams- Services Held - Graveside services for Edgar Adams, age 85, were held July 6 at 10:00 a.m. in the Slater City Cemetery with Rev. Wallace Thurman officiating. Mr. Adams died July 2, 1981 at Truman Medical Center East in Kansas City.
Edgar Adams was born in Saline County April 5, 1896 the son of John Adams and Emma Hern Adams. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War I. He was a retired Kansas City Star employee, having worked in the news department.
He married Ferol Shull on November 10, 1949 in Kansas City and she survives of the home, 625 W Highway 40, Blue Springs. He is also survived by a brother and sister Charles Adams of Salisbury and Mrs. Annie Ross of Springfield.
Visitation was held Sunday evening at the Haines Funeral home here."
