Timothy Wood, 40 of Honesdale died tragically in a fire Saturday, May 1, 2010 at his home. Born June 11, 1969 in Honesdale, he is the son of Josephine Breidenstein Wood of Honesdale and the late Fred C. Wood who died in 2006. Tim was employed at the Wayne Independent as a press operator. He was a member of the Cherry Ridge Fishing and collected Hess Trucks. He was an avid Nascar fan who followed Dale Earnhardt Jr.. He also enjoyed watching the New York Mets, New York Giants and WWE Wrestling. Tim's favorite thing to do is spend time with his children and all their trips to Knoebel's Park. Also surviving are his children Brandalyn Rose 13, Austin James 11 and Katelyn Elizabeth 9; his former wife and friend Tamora Wood all of Honesdale; brothers Jerry Wood and girlfriend Karen of Honesdale, Glynn Wood and wife Jean of Honesdale, Fred Wood and wife Hammie of Texas; sisters Tammy Landers and husband Mike of Honesdale and Sally Whitney of New York; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday at Hessling Funeral Home, 428 Main St. Honesdale at 5 PM. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to service time. Private interment will be in Aldenville Cemetery.
