She was born in Fremont, NC on April 10, 1920 and was the daughter of the late Albert Dickinson and Nina Ball Dickinson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carson Lamont Cobb, Sr.
The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. May 13, 2010 at Centenary United Methodist Church in New Bern, NC, with the Reverend Susan Pate Greenwood officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange, NC.
Survivors are her son, Carson Lamont Cobb, Jr., and wife, Debbie of Raleigh, NC; daughters, Mary K. Burney and husband, Yates of Lake Waccamaw, NC, Cheryl Whitley and husband, Ray of Cary, NC; sisters, Nina Lee Hooks of Cary, NC; six grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Centenary United Methodist Church, New Bern.
