Mrs. La Ruth Collins Pigate, 84, formerly of the Holly Springs Community, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 30, 2010, at Camp Care Nursing Home in Inman.

Born in Inman, SC on May 8, 1925, she was the daughter of the late William Buford and Grace (Walden) Collins and was the wife of the late Ray Edward Pigate, Sr.

Mrs. Pigate was a homemaker and was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church where she served in the Forever Young Sunday School Class and was a member of the Choir.

he is survived by one son, Ray Edward Pigate, Jr. and his wife Cheryl of Inman; two daughters, Christine Davis and her husband Charles of Hickory, NC and Sandi Drum and her husband Larry of Inman; one sister, Betty C. Waters of Inman; and four grandchildren, Seth Pigate, Syrus Pigate, Beth D. Norwood and her husband Robbie, all of Inman and Laura Davis of Hickory, NC. She was predeceased by two brothers and four sisters; and one granddaughter, Emilie Drum.

The family will receive friends Sunday, May 2, 2010, from 3:00-4:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 4:00 PM with Rev. Tim Clark officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
