From the November 10, 1939 issue of the Illinoian Star newspaper, Beardstown, Illinois: The body of Louis Baujan, 75 years old, former resident here, who died in Nashville, Tenn. yesterday morning, was brought to this city at noon today and taken to the Simpson Home For Services and this evening will be taken to the home of O.W. Baujan, 113 East Fourth street, to lie in state until funeral services tomorrow. High Mass will be said at 8'clock tomorrow morning at the St. Alexius Catholic church by the Rev. Father James Ahern. Burial will be in Oak Grove cemetery. Short funeral services were held at Nashville last night, and the body was accompanied here by members of Mr. Baujan's firm, Kendrick Goode and Vernon Tupper, sr. They acted as pallbearers at Nashville with Albert Overall, R.M. Martin, R. G. Mockbee, Vernon Overall, John F. Mitchell and W. V. Tupper. Mr. Baujan was president of the Nashv ille Roller Mills for 15 years and a prominent Nashville citizen. He died at his home, 134 Park Circle after an illness of several months. He was born and reared in this city and received his education in the public schools. He became associated with the flour milling business at an early age and for a number of years was connected with Schultz, Baujan and company, Inc., here. Mr. Baujan became vice-president of the Nashville Roller Mills in January, 1909, and more than a year later moved to Nashville to live. He was made president of the Nashville Roller Mills upon the death of John Schultz. He married Miss Ellie Ola McFillen in this city in 1906 and Mrs. Baujan died October 23, 1932. He spent recent winters in Florida. The decedent was a member of Beardstown Elks club in early manhood and gained a reputation as an expert fisherman. He was a member of the Catholic Cathedral of the Incarnation at Nashville. Surviving are his brother, O. W. Baujan and his sister, Mrs. Katherine Ruppel of this city. The prayer service at Nashville last night at 7 o'clock was in charge of the Rev. Joseph ????? at the Martin chapel.

Requiem High Mass was said by the Rev. Father Ahern. Flowers were cared for by Mrs. Ray Baujan, Mrs. Russel Ruppel, and Mrs. Robert Hommel. Burial was in the family lot in the Oak Grove cemetery with the following acting as pallbearers: Vernon Tupper, Kenneth Goode, Raymond Baujan, Russel Ruppel, John White, O.G. Baujan, Cecil Baujan and John Schultz.
