KITTIE MYRTLE ANGLIN METCALF MARETT
SWANNANOA - Kittie Metcalf Marett, 84, of 221 Westwood Avenue, died Monday in an Asheville hospital.
A native of Yancey County, she was the daughter of the late Zeb and Martha Austin Anglin and the wife of the late Thomas J. Marett. She was a member of Black Mountain First Christian Church.
Surviving are two sons, Donald Metcalf of Black Mountain and Arnold Metcalf of Carrollton, Georgia; two daughters, Thelma Ledford and Francis Pullman of Swannanoa; 19 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Williams Funeral Service. The Rev. Tom Hill will officiate. Burial will be in Mountaim View Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
