It is not known where Benjamin Banner Sr. is buried. This stone was placed here as a memorial to his Revolutionary War Service by Judy Cardwell and Mike Cumbie.

Benjamin Banner,Sr. had the following children: Henry, Mary, Phillip, Sarah, Joseph, Benjamin Banner Jr., Ephraim and Elizabeth Banner. Sons, Henry and Ephraim, left NC around age 21 and settled in Unicoi County, TN.
