Baptized 19th March, 1875 at the North Menomonie Norwegian Lutheran Church, he was the son of Jørgen and Aavedt(John and Christina Johnson)who gave the land for the cemetery. They and some of their other children are also buried at Highland.
His half brother, Edward Olaves Olson Johnson and his full siblings, Karen Gurine(Caroline)Olson Dahl, Gena Jorgine Dahl,Peter, Olaf, John Peter,and George Ernest and many of their family members are at Highland.

His sister Alma Dyson is buried in Duluth, his sister Amanda Jacobson is buried near Ridgeland,WI.,his brother James is buried at Evergreen Cemetery,Menomonie,WI and his brother Karl(Charlie) is buried near Dallas, WI.
Cause of death is noted as curvature of the spine with compression of heart and lungs. He was twenty seven years, nine months and nineteen days old when he died. Death record at the Dunn County Court House, Menomonie, Wisconsin.
