Mrs. Victoria Blair, 79, of Emerson Ave., mother of Drs. Holmes and F. L. Blair, and E. Herald Blair, terminal trainmaster for the B & O Railroad, died at 5 a.m. yesterday in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
Born March 30, 1884, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Squire and Elizabeth McFee Lockhart. She had spent her entire life in that county, with the exception of the last six years, which were spent in Parkersburg.
Mrs. Blair was a member of the Shepard Chapel Methodist Church and of the Rockport D of A.
Survivors includes her husband, Samuel F. Blair; four sons, Dr. Holmes Blair, Parkersburg, Rolla W Blair, Vienna, E. Herald Blair and Dr. F. L. Blair, both of Parkersburg; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Blair Isaacs, Watervliet, N.Y.; one brother, Yancy Lockhart, Parkersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Mildred Hartley, Parkersburg and Mrs. Nettie Davis, Ventura, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at the Leavitt Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Wilkinson will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
