She was a daughter of the late Andy James Crawford and Duty Cleveland Crawford. Widow of John Manning Waters.

She was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church, the Emma Hiott Sunday School class and a former member of the Joy Club. She was a homemaker.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, B. C., Clarence, Horace, Spurgeon and James Crawford and six sisters, Lillie Dyer, Dollie Waters, Ruby Waters, Grace Crawford, Eunice Whitfield and Hazel Crawford.
