CARRETTA Jan. 27. 1944, Dominick Carretta. Funeral at the time, 9 Lark Street, Monday morning at 9 o'clock and 10 o'clock at St. Michael's Church. Interment in St. Michael's Cemetery. (Service at Mancini Funeral Home.)Jan 27th 1944 Dominick Carretta, 77, of 9 Lark Street died at 9 o'clock this morning in St. Mary's Hospital following a brief illness. Mr. Carretta was born in Maglonica, Province of Potenza, Italy, and came to this country about 40 years ago, residing here since. Mr. Carretta was employed by the late C. B. Machold and for a considerable time by Thomas McGibbon, contractors.He had a thorough knowledge of stone and brick masonry work. He retired about 12 years ago.Mr. Carretta was a devout member of St Michael's Church, and his quiet manner and warm spirit won for him a large circle of friends who will mourn his death.Surviving are his wife, Antoinette, this city; one son, William, Brooklyn; four daughters, Mrs.Emmanuel Pacelli, Mrs. John Mussillo, Mrs. Joseph Famularo and Mrs. Joseph DePalma, all of Amsterdam; one brother, Frank Carretta, Brooklyn, and two sisters in Italy. There are also 20 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
