Eliza was one of Douglas County's best known and highly respected pioneer women. She passed away at her home in Armour on December 22, 1930 after contracting pneumonia. She was married to Zenophile Lanctot and had six sons and two daughters. Eliza ran the Armour House, the city's first hotel, since 1900. Zenophile passed away in 1913.
